Free Youth Programming for Ages 12-18
What is the OTC?
Since 2006, The Oneonta Teen Center (OTC) has been providing the youth of the greater Oneonta area with a space to have fun, enjoy creative youth-driven events, find mentorship and support, in a safe space where they can feel accepted, included and valued. We strive to not only provide a youth hang-out, but to create a community of youth who support each other and help drive the direction of our programming and take ownership and pride in the center itself.
The OTC promotes responsible, healthy and substance free lifestyles through programming that urge good decisions, mental support, and rewarding alternatives to using drugs or alcohol.
The OTC is a place where youth can be themselves, find people who will listen, support and respect them, and where they can start on their growth to being productive, supportive and healthy members of our community.
Youth interested in volunteer hours can help with special events like our annual haunted house, or by taking part in our Youth Leadership Board providing guidance and planning for our events and offerings.
We also believe everyone has the right to a safe, fun space. This is why our membership is FREE to all area youth ages 12-18. Always has been, always will be!

Before graduating from SUNY Oneonta in December of 2019 with a double major in Women’s and Gender Studies and Child and Family Studies, I found a real sense of community within my internship at Club Odyssey. I knew that my biggest passion was to help people and FOR-DO gave me an opportunity to continue that work at the Oneonta Teen Center in June of 2019, and I’ve been working here ever since.
Learning how to be a better advocate and activist while making an impact on someone's life is just one of the things I’ve come to find while working as the youth clubhouse assistant. Seeing the parallels between my own teenage years and the experiences of the youth who come through our doors, being able to be the person I needed when I was 16 has just been such an invocation for me and the community I serve.
My favorite part of my job is coordinating with our members to better meet their needs and to be able to include them in all processes of what we do here at the Oneonta Teen Center. The input we get from you is invaluable, and I am humbled and honored to be able to work with you each and every day. I really love my job and everything I get to do in order to make Oneonta a better place for all.
Stop in for some peer support or just a game of Uno with me today!
