The Turning Point of Delaware County
at 84 Main Street in Delhi
celebrates 1 year.
June 3rd is a special day at FOR-DO. While we have always had a presence in Delaware County, and our now Program Manager Kayliegh Riordan was at 167 Main St. in 2017, our new location in the heart of Delhi has afforded us the opportunity to reach out to more of the Recovery Community. Aside from a larger staff and increased programming, our volunteers are what make the center special. Our volunteers assist with everything from answering the phones to facilitating programming.
Over the past year we have continued our outreach efforts with local agencies such as Delaware Opportunities and Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services in Hamden, Delaware County Public Health and The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counsil in Delhi. Another proud connection is with The Catskill Veterans Outreach Center in Stamford.
Inside the center, programs include things such as Collaborative Art, Game and Movie Night, Wii Wednesdays as well as other training and workshops. We welcome anyone with an idea or who would like to facilitate their own program to come speak with us and present their idea to our Vision Team.
Stop in and say hello when you get a chance.
